It's easier just to download the WMA files at sugarmegs.org. You can cut the sets with a wave editor and burn those instead.

Why would you even want to stream these archive shows, and record them with the drop-outs between songs and buffering breaks?

The streaming shows are just .mp3 files. Well, that isn't exactly true. The links on each show for VBR (variable rate) are .m3u files, which are simply playlist text files. In each text file is an ordered set of .mp3 files. You can download .mp3 files without any problem, using your browser.
